PHREND
I’m caught between who I am and who you call me to be
Who I’m called from and who I’m coming to be
A new being I see, I perceive comfortability
Disappear from me like a seam ripping seemingly
Distressed and suppressed, wondering if I’ll pass the test
This test is the test that determines all the rest
Depressed or stressed? Forgive me I’m perplexed
And vexed by the oppressing mess…what’s next?
I open up the blinds that have been closed for centuries
Locked inside my mind, hidden from possibilities
Of freedom, help me out I’m pleading
The ensemble inside is breathing and bleeding
The mask on my face represents the place
Where I found the perfect pace
To clear my inner space
And I cry between the suns
Then I hide behind the clocks
Hoping that someday everything I am will be undone
Who I’m called from and who I’m coming to be
A new being I see, I perceive comfortability
Disappear from me like a seam ripping seemingly
Distressed and suppressed, wondering if I’ll pass the test
This test is the test that determines all the rest
Depressed or stressed? Forgive me I’m perplexed
And vexed by the oppressing mess…what’s next?
I open up the blinds that have been closed for centuries
Locked inside my mind, hidden from possibilities
Of freedom, help me out I’m pleading
The ensemble inside is breathing and bleeding
The mask on my face represents the place
Where I found the perfect pace
To clear my inner space
And I cry between the suns
Then I hide behind the clocks
Hoping that someday everything I am will be undone
