EREMITE POETRY

tell her

By Alogo Bernard

when you finally meet her
& all your legs do is shake.

tell her, tell her that her skin is
testament that black carries light.
like a moonless night
littered with bright stars.
even in the darkness,
It shines.

tell her, tell her that her smile is a candle stick.
a burst of warm light
shedding sight
to dark cervices in your heart.

tell her, tell her that her body
Is an embodiment of ancient beauty,
you almost lost yourself
trying to find.

tell her, tell her that her mind
is proof,
that beauty transcends
sculpted layers of flesh.

tell her that she is enough
& you would want no one else...
but her.
